Number to dial is 620-584-8200 PIN number 560061. *---------------------------------------------------------------* *Community Member Count* *---------------------------------------------------------------* We thought you might like to be kept up to date as to the number of people now in our community. Each month we will update the figures to reflect people who are grads, plus people who are active students, plus people who have paid for their class but who have not yet started. Currently grads plus students in classes stands at 124! Those who are committed to future classes make the total 131. Yep, our community is getting larger and that's a good thing. At the monthly lunches you should have a very good chance of meeting a new (or seasoned) grad who you have not meet previously. They may have the very same or similar target market. It could be a starting point for referral converation. -------------------------------------------------------------- *Interested People* -------------------------------------------------------------- Another feature we'd like to report to you is the list of people who have said that they are very interested in taking a specific class. If you see a name you know, your support of that individual could help make them feel that much more comfortable about taking the CNP training.* Aug 3rd Class (evening) Becky Pegorsch Merry Beavers Ann Palmer Rick Ruckman Aaron Swiggum September 10th Class (daytime) Norma Thomas Kelly Elton --------------------------------------------------------------- *Grads Find Connections at Lunch* --------------------------------------------------------------- Next lunch is this Tuesday, June 15th, but you can pull out your calendar for Tuesday, July 20th, 11:30 - 1 PM. The Spaghetti Warehouse welcomes us, but remember please try to keep within these times. Cost is $10 and we welcome cash or checks. ------------------------------------------------------------- ***CNP Board of Action * * * ------------------------------------------------------------- We feel that our last mixer in June was even more successful than ever. We listened to feedback from our Board of Advisors and made some changes. The booth got moved, the room arrangement was turned 180 degrees, our grads were table captains and helped to answer questions of our guests. We do appreciate the interest in the success of our community. That evening we had two additional registrations for the course, and one more guest has signed up since then. Thank you to *Deb Hornstein, The Danberry Company; Dyane Gaylord, The Danberry Company; Mary Lou Vargo*, *National City* and *Jeff Langenderfer*, *National City* for inviting and supporting those three people. The Board of Advisors meets once per quarter, with the next meeting being July 14th at 4 PM. If you'd like to be part of this very dynamic group, call Debby (419-833-5182) or John (419-537-9054.) --------------------------------------------------------- Debby will be the Leader of June's Grad Conference Call ----------------------------------------------------------- Want to talk with others about the devolopment of strategic partners? Thursday, June 17th at 3 PM is the time to do it! Debby has been asked to lead the conversation that day. She'd love your support and also you input would be valuable to others on the call. It's easy to be on the call, you just dial the phone number and then a record voice will ask you to dial in the pin number. Once those two actions are done, you can listen and learn. Be sure to have paper and pen available as we're sure you'll want to note the ideas that you'll receive from the call. The number to call is 620-584-8200 with the pin number being 560061#. ----------------------------------------------------------- *Mod 5 Grad Corp Leadership Assumed by Jennifer Alford* ------------------------------------------------------------ Training your referral partner, is probably the most complex issue of the CNP training and the one that needs more support to our grads. As a result of feedback from our Advisory Board and a chance converation, *Jennifer Alford, New England Financial *has /volunteered /to begin manageing and coaching the Module 5 Graduate Assistant group. The plan is for Jennifer to meet with those who want to be part of this group, to help them to feel comfortable with the process and then have each current student called by one of the Mod 5 GAs immediately after the student has been presented Module 5. Previously we have been waiting for the students to call the GAs, but in reality that doesn't work well. We want to be proactive in helping our students and grads with this very important part of the CNP training. ----------------------------------------------------------- *Decisions for 2005 *----------------------------------------------------------- Beginning in January 2005, the CNP class series will be $699. This fee structure brings us nearer to what others are charging for the same training around the country. Do you have friends and business associates who want to take the course at the attractive "old" rate. They still have the last half of this year to accomplish that. Additionally, we will allow those who want to take the course in the 1st Quarter of 2005 to pre-pay their course at the old pricing. In 2005 you'll see more daytime courses, more series of courses spread over the 12 week period, and some some different starting times, including one series that will be at lunchtime. Help us to spread the word! --------------------------------------------------------- *Golf Outing* --------------------------------------------------------- BNI, and WEN are teaming with each other and inviting CNP grads to be part of the mix for a golf/networking event, the largest ever. Cost is only $55 per person if paid before July 16th. Space is limited.. Call John's right hand assistant, Anita Masters, at the BNI office at 419-537-9054 to register for golf, sign up for a tee sign, or to provide a goodie for the goodie bags. Those who don't golf but would like to network, can join the group at 5 PM at Bedford Hills golf club (Jackman Rd just over the MI line) for dinner. Debby will be doing that! You'll need to register with Anita and send a check for $15 for the dinner. --------------------------------------------------------- A Believer in Continuing Ed -------------------------------------------------------- Carlton Mousseau, *Pat Mousseau's* husband, reports that Pat *(Re/Max Central*) has SOLD 10 Houses in 30 Days. That figures to one house every 3 days this month. Not bad! ---------------------------------------------------------- International Appointment ---------------------------------------------------------- *Sue Hughes, Welles Bowen*, has been asked to be an ambassador to Iraq. It seems that her outstanding networking and giver's gain skills have reached the international community. Unfortuneatly, Sue will have to decline this position because of a scheduling confict. Okay, now that you've stopped skimming and have re-read the above, your editor just wants to have a laugh right along with all of you. Remember horntooting is something about which you are proud of. It doesn't have to be momumental. Sue sent this to the editor with tongue in cheek. The editor has included it, because Sue's last comment was that she really didn't have anything to report. While Sue may not have really had that ambassadorship in hand, she probably did have something that she could have reported. Horntooting is necessary! ----------------------------------------------------------------------- /Director of the Year ----------------------------------------------------------- At the May *BNI* conference in Detroit, *John Meyer, Executive Director for Ohio and Northern Kentucky*, was named 2003 U.S. BNI Director of the Year.
