So mark your calendars for December 21st at the Spaghetti Warehouse at 11:30 AM - 1 PM. If you've not been at a lunch, you're missing the opportunity to find a referral partner right in the midst of eating your lunch! ------------------------------------ Training Year Nearing End ------------------------------------ As we near the end of three class series, all which will end the second week of December, we are so thankful for all the wonderful support we've received this year from our community. We've had 65 people sign up for classes and additionally everywhere we go, many people had already heard about CNP. That is crucial buzz, and we thank you for making it happen. ------------------------------------ Davis is Just Starting ------------------------------------ While CNP of Ohio, LTd is winding down for '04, Davis College is just beginning what is a momentous step in the collegiate networking direction. Under Nick Nigro's expert teaching capabilities, 12 Davis students will find out all about Emotional Based Marketing, target market and shades of referral. Dr Ivan Misner announced at the BNI conference last week in California that Davis is the first college in the nation to deliver CNP as an accredited course. Lynda Goodremont was in the training session and proudly told the rest of the group of over 60 people, that Toledo is her hometown and that she is proud of Toledo, Davis and CNP. Part of the syllabus for the Davis course, is a field trip to the next CNP mixer, which is scheduled for January 6th, 2005. Again it will be held at the Electrical Contractor's hall at 727 Lime City Rd, Rossford. Come to network and also to introduce yourself to the students. Again we'd like to take this opportunity to thank Diane Brunner, President of Davis College, Vicky Ryan, VP of Academic Affairs and Shawn Orr, Chairperson, Department of Business Administration and Information Technology for taking this idea and believing that it could help them to meet the mission of Davis, which is to provide marketable skills that enhance the employability of their graduates. ---------------------------------------- New Classes For 2005 ---------------------------------------- Well, you've suggested and we've reacted. Three of the four 1st Quarter classes are twelve weeks in length. One is very early in the morning, one series is over the lunch hour with 30 minutes set aside for eating and networking, and the other 12 weeker is Friday mornings which has been a very popular time for classes. Those of your friends wanting to be part of any of the four curriculums listed below, can register now through November 30th at the '04 tuition rate of $595. Payments plans are accepted for this offering. See the schedule below: 12 Week class starting dates and times Tuesday, February 1, 7:30 AM - 9:40 AM. This is for the early morning folks! Thursday, February 17, 10:30 AM - 1 PM. This is with a 30 minute break for lunch and networking. Friday, March 25, 9 AM - 11:10 AM. This has been a very popular day and time. Don't delay on this one. 6 Week Course March 2, Wednesday, 4PM - 8 PM, For those who want to get it done in six weeks. ---------------------------------------------- Dave's Team Approach is Important ---------------------------------------------- At a recent CNP class, Dave Musteric, Fish Window Cleaning, got the opportunity to deliver the 10 minute presentation. During the talk, he told us how great and how important his team is to his business, and that without them, he just wouldn't be as good. Less than a week later, Dave fractured both heels in a fall, and was sidelined. Because Dave had reinforced that team concept, we know that his business is continuing, even if he can't be climbing ladders right now. It just goes to show how important the message is that you're sending out to the world. ------------------------------------------- Deb Hornstein Shares Her News ------------------------------------------ Deb Hornstein, The Danberry Company, was elected for a second term as a Director for the Toledo Board Realtors (TBR). She also recently participated in a TBR strategic planning session that CNPer, Linda Everhardt Kardux, Business Navigators led with assistance from Linda Fayerweather, Changing Lanes. ------------------------------------------ Peggy Mathews Leads the Way ----------------------------------------- Peggy Mathews, Shaklee, recently exhibited at a Health Fair held at one of the factories a bit north of Fremont. She met a vendor with whom she will start to build a networking relationship. Peggy reports that this woman has a center in Castalia, Ohio that specializes in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) which is a help for children with ADD/ADHD and their families. ------------------------------------------- Accolades for Nick ------------------------------------------ Along with being the first college instructor to deliver the CNP training, Nick Nigro, Davis College, also received the Outstanding Placement Director for 2004 from the Ohio Association of Career Colleges and Schools. Nice job, Nick! ------------------------------------------ Merri Bame Acts ------------------------------------------ Merri Bame is currently performing in a NW Ohio debut of /Polish Joke/ at Ms. Rose's Dinner Theatre in Perrysburg! Dave Says, No Way!" ------------------------------------------- David Bodner, Seymour & Associates, Mass Mutal, recently presented a workshop at the 8th Annual WEN Conference. He spoke about the /E-Myth/, a book written by Michael Gerber, in which Gerber stresses why it is important to find which voice inside your head cries out the loudest. The three voices are: Entrpreneur, Manager and Technician. David highly recommends this book for CNPers. -------------------------------------- Levitt Presents ------------------------------------- Don Levitt, Levitt Consulting, Inc. recently gave a 4 hour workshop for TEC Detroit entitled "Rapid Strategic Planning for the Family Business." He described the tools which allow family-owned businesses to integrate planning for both their business and their family. TEC Detroit is a business leadership organization for chieft executives in Southeast Michigan. ------------------------------------- Need for Membership Salesperson ------------------------------------- Jack Hollister, The Employer's Association, is searching for a membership sales person to help the Employer's Association grow.
